Excommunicated

Skeleton Key

2011 UW Records

Excommunicated truly brings the horrors perpetuated by the Catholic church to light in this ten song outing! The band brings to fans a corrupted history from the dawn of the church, that includes child molestation, witch trials, homosexuality, and incest. Excommunicated features Jason McIntyre (Suture, Despondancy) on guitars, Jonathan Joubert (Despondancy) on bass, David Kinkade (Soulfly, Borknagar, Malevolent Creation) on drums, and Chad Kelly (Catholicon) on lead vocals. The album also has guest appearances by Andy LaRoque (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate) guitar solo on track six "Christ's Sword", Vincent Crowley (Acheron) vocals on track eight "The Birth of Tragedy" and Jayson Ramsey (Suture) backing scream on track seven " When Death Claims it's Most Righteous Dead". the disc is brutally beautiful from beginning to end, leaving this listener wanting more! Vocalist Chad Kelly comments that "This is not a work of darkness. It is a work of light!" Skeleton key was recorded at UW Records in Baton Rouge, La., and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Rob Halford, Fight, Bruce Dickinson) in Los Angeles, Ca. The track listing for Skeleton Key is:

1. The Abandonment of Hope

2. The Incorruptibles

3. Cry to Heaven

4. Minutes of the Corpse Trials

5. The Vatican Orgies

6. Christ's Sword

7. When Death Claims its Most Righteous Dead

8. The Birth of Tragedy

9. Keys to the Kingdom of God

10. The Sum of All life's Pain

When I tell you to get this album, wear it out, and get another I FUCKING MEAN IT! In my opinion, this disc is one of the best outings I've ever heard! You can contact the band at:
